Position Summary
QPS is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to direct and coordinate daily field activities at a deepwater offshore facility. This position supports safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations by coordinating personnel, materials, tools, rental equipment, vessels, helicopters, and crew changes.The Logistics Coordinator will also monitor contractor safety compliance, maintain inventory and movement records, enter post-maintenance information, and support drilling, workover, and well operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily offshore logistics and field activities.
- Work with contractor safety personnel to align safety programs with client requirements.
- Review and monitor contractor compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Administer the Job Safety Analysis and Behavioral Job Safety Analysis (JSA/BJSA) program.
- Provide safety orientations to newly arriving contractors and personnel.
- Coordinate daily safety inspections and verify equipment certifications.
- Manage the movement of materials, tools, rental equipment, and personnel while supporting operational efficiency and cost control.
- Coordinate with shorebase logistics teams to ensure equipment, materials, and personnel arrive as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, rental equipment, transfers, backloads, and offshore movements.
- Coordinate vessel activities, helicopter transportation, cargo movements, and crew changes.
- Verify cargo documentation, manifests, and transportation requirements.
- Enter post-maintenance data and other required information into the company's maintenance system.
- Track invoices and supporting documentation to help ensure timely payment.
- Support drilling and workover activities as required.
- Review and interpret well-operation procedures.
- Maintain appropriate offshore inventory levels and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Assist the Operator Superintendent and offshore leadership as needed.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, client requirements, and offshore safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous logistics, materials, or operations-coordination experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Deepwater offshore experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating vessels, helicopter transportation, crew changes, cargo, and offshore personnel movements.
- Working knowledge of offshore safety programs, JSAs, inspections, and equipment-certification requirements.
- Experience maintaining material inventories, rental-equipment records, manifests, and logistics documentation.
- SAP experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with drilling, workover, and well-operation procedures is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other standard business applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced offshore environment.
Offshore Requirements
- Ability to work a 14-day-on/14-day-off rotational schedule, including 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment and offshore medical screenings.
- Must possess or be able to obtain required offshore safety certifications.
- Ability to travel by helicopter and marine vessel.
- Ability to work safely in changing weather and offshore operating conditions.
- Ability to participate in emergency-response duties as assigned.
